Vision and Mission of Uni-Pz

Vision

We will become a university accepted for teaching, learning, transmitting knowledge and dynamic leading by engaging all the faculties, departments, students, staff and community for reciprocal benefits and respective cooperation in order the whole region and the society to gain from it.

Priorities

In order to achieve this vision, the University will adapt the following priorities:

• To build a miscellaneous and an engaging community. A community that values a long-lasting learning; possesses a general education which communicates effectively, a community which possesses the art of numbers, respects the principles of tolerance and freedom and a community which is dedicated to the society well-being.
• To recruit and maintain an academic body dedicated to teaching, researches, creative activities and services which are known for their including on knowledge application.
• • To recruit and maintain the staff and administrators who will support the University’s vision and its mission. Also, a staff and administrators who will be engaged on researches, especially the research application that will help in the development of region.
  
• To play an important role in transforming and developing of the whole region basing on academic existing programs and forming new ones.
  
• To play a major role in the whole region by employing people and to improve the citizens’ lives.
  
• To make partnership and relationship that will serve to region and other works which are close to other educational institutions in order to stay faithful in improving the quality and in increasing educational values.
  
• To create a positive and productive environment for all the University community that values an individual, supports the team work and cooperation; it also requires honesty, integrity and humanity. Finally, an environment that inspires enthusiasm and pride.
  
• To get engaged on continual improvements by planning, implementing and assessing the new strategies and by improving the University operations, technological infrastructure supporting knowledge, researches, services and creative activities.

Mission

The University of Prizren consists of a large number of academic units which have been increased and added in a tight relation to the region’s needs. Our mission is to give them an opportunity of basic and advanced education followed with qualities of social, linguistic and exact sciences.

The University prepares students for a large specter in order to fulfill a range of life activities while they having passion for knowledge, the understanding of values and the viewpoint of an independent person, learning the whole life and contributors of knowledge and services in a world of unlimited changes.

The University of Prizren is dedicated to provide a genuine education for all its students beginning with those who come from the secondary schools and for those who are transferred from other educational subjects, those who study different sciences and are looking for higher study levels.

Uni – Pz as an authentic university considers an academic freedom as a supreme importance and, continuously, attempts for innovative changes by providing a challenging and inspiring environment. Due to the University subjects and applied researches, the Uni – Pz aims to contribute on further society rise either in regional aspect or national one. This can be achieved by educating individuals for responsible positions in our society and in social stable selection. Uni – Pz gets inspired by a tradition which provides a room for reflection and encourages informing of life philosophy in close relation to the science.
