The University of Prizren was founded in 2006 by Prof.Dr. Avni Skeja after his nearly four decades experience at the University of Prishtina who later described the Uni-Pz as " his best investment in his life". At the beginning of its activity, the University of Prizren had six faculties: Economics, Psychologists, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Political Sciences, Faculty of Computer Sciences and Faculty of Foreign Languages. On building of this educational institution a large number of academicians gave their contribution bringing their experiences in order to build a genuine institution accepted by all its members. According to Rector’s vision the University of Prizren established a Faculty of Architecture providing more study alternatives to this West Balkans region. Uni-Pz functions by applying the principle of being one in spirit but not necessarily thinking in the same way. So, we believe that such sharing of spirit between the academicians and students is difficult to find somewhere else. Programs and curricula have improved in order to get adapted to changes and program advances from countries with a long university tradition.
